Clean Indoor Air Regulation

Welcome to the 5C!

The Calhoun County Cancer Control Coalition (5C) is a group of individuals working together to reduce the cancer burden in Calhoun County through community collaboration.

The following organizations share the role of championing this initiative:

  • Battle Creek Health System
  • Battle Creek Community Foundation
  • Famly Health Center

The coalition has identified three priority areas:

  • Tobacco/Lung Cancer Prevention
  • Colorectal Screenings
  • Breast Screenings

The 5C meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 pm in the Battle Creek Health System Cancer Center Conference Room. To view or download the minutes of previous meetings, to check the date of the next meeting, click Here.

The Calhoun County Clear Indoor Air Regulation became effective on January 1, 2008. Smoking is now eliminated in public and private worksites, and public places.
